A Gift for My Mom

The five weeks my kids and I spent in Virginia were fantastic and magical for me.  And for Bryce, who had never met his granny (my mom) before (my teens go every summer).  Those two had so much fun together!  My mom misses him so much now that we're back in AZ.  Mom's not online, so I can't just email her photos whenever I want.  And, I'm ashamed to admit, I suck at sending her printed photos.  So, I thought I would make her something special.  Here's a picture for my mom that captures the essence of Bryce:  cooler than cool, funny, thoughtful.  He is quite a character!

I just realized I haven't posted anything with or about my new light (the Alien Bee ringflash).  I've been having tons of fun goofing off with it.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LERRRRRVE the insane catch lights it puts in the eyes.  (No worries, commercial and portrait clients, I will reposition the catch lights into a "standard" position).  Here are a few of my daughter, the hubster and me just goofin' off.

Family Portrait Session

Friday morning I had a family portrait session with a fabulous family! They were fresh, fun and sweet...with just enough spice. On the ride over to our location, I noticed the intense blue eyes their sweet baby girl has...you know how a clear blue sky looks just before the sun goes down? How it fades from brilliant blue to a deep midnight, then pure black at the edge? That's her eyes...gorgeous! Here are a few pics...enjoy!
