Welcome Little Guy - Birth Photography in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler

Yesterday I was blessed to photograph the birth of a new baby boy. I have to tell you, I've seen some births in my day, but this one took the cake. Mom looked like a rock star through the whole experience and after pushing out her new little cutie, said, "That wasn't so hard!" I bow humbly at her feet! Here's a little sneak peek of the new parents adoring their first baby.

Chaz's Senior Pics - Senior Portraits in San Tan Valley, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Phoenix, Tempe Arizona

This morning, storm and all (and isn't that the best time?), Chaz, Todd and I set out to shoot Chaz's senior portraits. We had a BLAST!

At one point, it was raining too hard to shoot, so we ducked into Filiberto's for breakfast. Yes, breakfast. Bean and cheese burritos at 8 a.m. What can I say? Chaz, it was memorable :o)

To Retro, or Not to Retro, That is the Question

You've probably all noticed a trend in recent photographs from various sources...it's that aged "70's" look, retro, vintage, whatever you want to call it. I see weddings done that way. Entire weddings. And I have to wonder...once that style is out of style, will you still be happy with your photos? Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discourage anyone from the whole retro deal. I just suggest possibly mixing it up a bit. Get some nicely edited but "realistic" photos that will be timeless, and get some fun and funky retro images to enjoy while it stays in season (and to grin at in the years to come).

Non-retro:

Mildly retro:

Heavily retro-fied:

Custom retro with frame:

And if you missed this morning's post on what stand-outs and canvas wraps are (and some of our frame examples), be sure to go down one post and check it out.

Video: Examples of Frame, Stand-outs, Canvas Wraps

Here's a little video showing what a Stand-out is, a couple of frame examples (email me for more) and the difference between a Canvas Wrap and a Gallery Wrap. The Temple pics shown are 16x24, the stand out is 20x30, and the canvas wrap is 16x20. Canvas wraps are available in sizes up to 3x5 FEET. Enjoy!
